Today, is the first day where I start #WestminsterConnects ‘Check-in and Chat’ project established by Westminster City Council. For the next few weeks, I will be volunteering my time and efforts to telephone individuals who are at risk of loneliness as a consequence of self-isolation.
As my family and I continue to practice social distancing, I cannot image those who are self-isolating alone.
This is why I decided to get involved and help my community. A community where I started my career in the city of Westminster since 2017. And I am so grateful for all the opportunities the borough has given me, the incredible professionals and peers I have met along the way.
It’s during times of uncertainty when one thing remains a constant: kindness.
